Harry Potter Challenge, Day 3

This day's prompt is: Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.

Look, there are A LOT of things that have been left out that displeased me, and even more things that were translated to screen in such a frustrating way I can't even.

But this? Right here? This moment? There was no excuse, NO excuse to not include this moment.

No, it may not have been necessary to the plot, but it was necessary to THE STORY. And this is the main problem with the movies (except OotP, and sorta DH1)--they may have had similar characters and similar scenes, but they never once felt like a Potter book. All of the heart and soul was taken out of them and replaced with Hollywood nonsense. We don't need to have a dragon chase scene that last 15+ minutes, we don't need a girl in pink that punched people! What we need is a story that rings true, a story with real people and plausible events that pull on our hearts and make us fall in love with the world and the Boy Who Lived.

Not to mention, it would have taken about a minute to include this. One whole minute, including reaction time.

Inexcusable.
